California is not alone in confronting a shortage of homes, rising housing costs, declining affordability and growing barriers to homeownership. Cities, states and countries around the world are testing different approaches to these challenges.
On Thursday, December 10, from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., the Center for California Real Estate (CCRE) will host a virtual panel conversation, “Housing Solutions Beyond California: Ideas and Innovations from Across the U.S. and Beyond,” convening housing industry leaders advancing promising solutions in their communities.
This CCRE discussion will examine what these communities have tried, what results followed, what implementation challenges emerged and which lessons could realistically inform California’s housing policies and practices. By looking beyond California, the conversation will offer fresh perspective on the range of tools available to address the state’s housing challenges.
